Twenty-two years ago, Gerard was sixteen and Frank was fourteen. The boys went Belleville highschool and saw each other as much as possible. It was before school one day and Frank had just got dropped off by his mom. Gerard was so cool to Frank; however, Frank noticed a changed in Gerard's attitude. Gerard was very withdrawn and shy, normally he was shy, but around Frank he was always himself. Lately he had been scared, of Frank. This is what hurt Frank the most.

"Hey Gerard!" Frank smiled running over to Gerard, "How are you Gee?". He put his arm around Gerard's shoulder to. Gerard flinched and pulled away. He looked down at the ground avoiding Frank's eyes.

"I-I'm f-fine Frank..." Gerard shrugged and let his long black hair fall into his face. Gerard's body language displayed discomfort, fear, and confusion.

"W-why do you still care..." Gerard stuttered out. He rubbed his arm and scratched  the school blazer at the crook of his elbow.

Frank looked at hi. With shock, "Gerard, why are you acting like this? For the past two weeks you've been avoiding me, what the fuck is your deal! I care a lot about you but you're acting like an asshole! Are you scared of me; do you think I'm gonna hit you?" Frank yelled at Gerard.

Gerard flinched and shrunk back; Frank seethed through his teeth. It wasn't fair to Frank, the way Gerard was acting, he knew this. Gerard was scared, his feelings were running from him, fucking him over. He couldn't look at his best friend the same way again.

Gerard sighed, "Frank, I can't te-"

"Bullshit, shut the fuck up Gerard!" Gerard screamed, "I thought we were supposed to be best friends? Friends aren't supposed to have secrets from each other! All you ever say is:'I can't tell you.' you know how that feels?!" Frank's eyes welled up with tears.

Gerard clenched his fists, Frank had pissed him off. They were both on the edge of tears. Gerard's face screwed up with rage. Gerard lifted his fist as he brought it back before swinging it forward. A loud crack was heard as the fist connected with Frank's jaw. Frank's head snapped back.

Frank slid his jaw back and forth, "You wanna fight?" Frank yelled. He stepped and sun 360° before screaming and jumping on Gerard clawing blindly at his face.

Gerard grunted and wrapped his hands around Frank's neck. They were both red in the face from rage and from fighting.

"I hate you!" Frank spat clawing Gerard trying desperately to tear anything he could reach.

"I love you Frank!" Gerard blurted before shutting his mouth and staring at Frank like a deer in headlights.

Frank stopped dead in his tracks, "G-Gerard you're... gay?" Frank sat up, still sitting on Gerard's lower abdomen.

"Well... no... yes... I don't know anymore Frank, I'm so confused!"  Gerard sighed resting his hands on the ground above his head. Both the boys looked around the barren lawn in front of the school. They removed their hands from each other; however, Frank did not get off Gerard's stomach.

Gerard sighed, "Frank I think... I know I'm in love with you... It's okay f you don't wanna be friends anymore.

Frank smiled, "Thank God!" Frank leaned down and pressed his lips against Gerard's. "I'm gay too!"

Both boys started to laugh. They were in love and maybe it would last who knows?
